LG Mini Review

One area where LG excels is in creating stylish phones, and the LG Mini is a great example. Although the Mini LG isn’t a smartphone, it does offer some great features, and its design is superb.

Despite the name, the LG Mini isn’t extremely small, but it does sport a very sophisticated design. With its metallic accents and glossy black finish, the Mini’s design is clean and stylish. This phone can be as much of a fashion accessory as it is a mobile device.

On the front of the Mini LG is a 3.2-inch, scratch resistant touchscreen. The Mini’s touchscreen supports multi touch so you can easily zoom in on photos and web pages by pinching your fingers together. The display provides a clear and bright picture so viewing web pages, video and text is easy on the eyes.

Some of the features that you get with the LG Mini include video calling and smart dialing, plus when you turn the phone on its side, you get a full virtual QWERTY keyboard. As for social networking, the Mini features Facebook and Twitter, and for connectivity features this handset comes with WiFi, as well as Bluetooth. For surfing the Internet you get an HTML browser with flash support, which makes going online with your mobile an experience much like surfing the Internet with your home PC.

Another nice feature that comes with the LG Mini is Assisted GPS; this is a great feature to have if you like to travel. Some third party applications that are preinstalled on this phone include Google Maps, YouTube, as well as Blogger. You will also get some preinstalled games to help keep you entertained.

The Mini LG also comes with a built in 5-megapixel camera that also records video, though there is no flash included. Despite the absence of flash, the camera does take some decent pictures, but video isn’t quite as good, as the motion tends to be a little jerky. The battery on this phone is rated for 7 hours of talk time and 14 days of standby time.

The call quality is good, and although the sound quality is fair, the speakers would probably be better if they were louder. When you compare LG Mini to other feature phones in the same class, there is no doubt this handset will come out on top, but the cost of this phone may place it out of range for most people. If you really want this handset you’ll likely want to shop around for some LG Mini deals.  One of the best places to find these deals is online, or directly through the network service providers offering LG phones.
