LG Renoir Review

Although the LG Renoir is a fashionable and sexy phone that sports a lot of nice features, its main focus is its 8-megapixel camera. The Renoir is designed something like the Viewty, though it is much more refined.

On the front of the Renoir is a touchscreen that is housed behind a protective plastic casing, and although glass would have been nice, the plastic does help keep this device light. The touchscreen on this phone is responsive and simple to use, plus at the bottom of the screen are physical shortcut keys so you can get to applications easily.

The Renoir by LG is equipped with some nice features; one of the best features is its 8-megapixel camera that comes with some great settings, such as smile detection, face detection, as well as blink detection. Along with taking still pictures, the Renoir’s camera will also record video. With all of these different settings it is no surprise that the camera on this phone would take some great pictures, though it may be a stretch to say it would replace your digital camera.

Some additional multimedia features that come with the LG Renoir include a video player that supports DviX format, plus LG has teamed with Dolby to include a high quality music player. You will also get HSDPA for high-speed Internet connection. Another great feature that comes with the Renoir is GPS, and integrated Google Maps.

Sending text messages with the Renoir by LG is fairly simple, you get both a virtual alphanumeric keypad, as well as a virtual full Qwerty keypad. The call quality that you get with the Renoir is great; callers come through loud and clear. The battery life is rated for 220 minutes of talk time and 350 hours of standby time.

Although the LG Renoir may be hyped as being one of the best touchscreen phones available, it does lack in a few areas that keep it from being the best. The operating system is okay, but not as good as what you would get with an Android phone. It is the Renoir’s platform that holds it back from being one of the best touchscreen phones on the market.

If you are upgrading from an earlier LG model, the Renoir is a logical choice, at least if you can find a cheap LG Renoir; otherwise you might want to look at another mobile that offers more features at a lower price. If you want to compare LG Renoir prices one of the best place to start is online.
