It was reported recently that the expectations that Australian mobile phone users have are not being met, with many expressing dissatisfaction with the service that they are receiving.
According to recent reports there are many mobile customers across Australia who are unhappy and dissatisfied with their mobile phone service, with the expectations of many mobile users failing to be met on a number of different levels. The information is based on a recent survey by technology performance company, Compuware.
As part of the survey the expectations of mobile phone users in Australia were monitored and analyzed and it was found that the expectations of a large percentage of Australian mobile phone companies were not being met because of poor application and mobile performance. Mobile users were found to want fast and convenient transactions when it came to their mobile phones. However, in many cases they were not receiving this.
Rafi Katanasho, Compuware A/NZ application performance management director, stated: “User expectations for mobiles continue to increase, but companies in Australia are not meeting mobile users’ need for fast and reliable experiences. Many companies are failing to take advantage of the opportunities being provided by increased mobile access.”
The survey brought up some surprising results with regards to consumer expectations when it came to mobiles, such as over sixty percent of those with internet enabled phones expecting web pages to load nearly as quickly as they would with fixed broadband. Over sixty percent were also prepared to wait no longer than five seconds for a web page to load.
