Nokia N9 MeeGo coming to Australia

It has been revealed that the buttonless Nokia N9 MeeGo smart phone is set to come to Australia later this year, giving Nokia fans something new to look forward to.

It has been announced recently the buttonless Nokia N9 MeeGo smart phone is set to come to the Australian market later this year. The phone is set to hit the shelves in October this year and will cost $799. The phone will feature the MeeGo Operating System and will give Nokia fans in Australia something new to look forward to.

Both the design and the choice of operating system in this new smart phone will be an exciting innovation for mobile phone users to enjoy. Instead of the Symbian Operating System that has been used in so many other Nokia phones it is now using the Linux based MeeGo platform for this phone, making it stand out from other Nokia smart phones.

Even the casing of this new Nokia offering is different from the norm, with officials stating that the material used for the casing is made from material that is often used in the manufacture of ice hockey helmets. One Nokia official said: “The material also allows for a superior antenna performance which means better reception, better voice quality, fewer dropped calls and a higher GPS accuracy.”

The phone also features a 3.9 inch AMOLED panel and a ClearBlack display, which officials have said enables user to enjoy more vivid colours. The phone will be available in several colours, which are black, pink and blue.
