Nokia 6210

Nokia 6210 Review

The Nokia 6210 is a GPS phone that comes with an imbedded compass for easier pedestrian navigation. Although this handset probably won’t make a fashion statement, it is by no means an unattractive mobile phone.

With the 6210 Nokia you’ll get a thin and compact slide phone; this handset measures 103 x 49 x 14.9 mm and weighs 119g. The design is fairly simple; you won’t get anything extremely fancy with the 6210, but if having a flashy mobile phone isn’t at the top of your list of priorities, you should be okay with the Nokia 6210.

Some of the features that come with the Nokia 6210 include Assisted GPS, a 3.2-megapixel camera that features built in LED flash. For connectivity this phone comes with HSDPA, as well as Bluetooth, but there is no WiFi, which is a disappointment.

Most people want their GPS device to come with screens that they can easily see; unfortunately the 6210 Nokia features a display of only 2.4-inches. Although this screen does look good, colours are bright and the picture is crisp and clear, it is probably a little small to use for GPS navigation.

The GPS feature built into the Nokia 6210 comes with a free, 6-month subscription for turn by turn, voice guided navigation, but you will have to purchase the service to continue after the subscription runs out. Some of the preinstalled applications that come with this handset include a document reader, personal organizer, as well as visual radio.

One problem that will become evident when you start using the 6210 Nokia is its poor battery life, after about an hour and a half of use this phone has a dead battery. If you do decide to purchase a 6210 you’ll definitely want to invest in a car charger due to the fact that the battery will probably not last throughout the day.

Although the Nokia 6210 is a good mobile phone, it is hardly the best handset produced by Nokia. You do get some great features and applications with this phone, but you can get these with most mid range phones today. The fact that you have to pay for a GPS subscription is a bad mark against the 6210 Nokia. If you can find a similar phone that offers a better navigation plan, it would probably be worth the investment.

The Nokia 6210 cost is online with most mobile phones of the same class, but if you want to get a great price on this handset, your best bet would be to do some comparing to find the best deal.
