Nokia 6700 Chrome Review

Although the Nokia 6700 Chrome is not a high-end smart phone, it is a great looking mobile and a solid performer. The nice thing about the Nokia 6700 in chrome is that you know exactly what you are getting; this is a handset that is reminiscent of a simpler time, when mobile phones were easy to use, and did what the manufacturer claimed it would do.

The very first thing that will come to your attention when you look at the Nokia 6700 Chrome is how shiny it is; this phone is fantastic to look at. With its curved corners and stainless steel casing, the 6700 Nokia Chrome not only looks great, but also when you hold it in your hands you can tell it is a solidly built handset. The downside to this shiny, chrome finish is that it does attract fingerprints like a magnet.

The Nokia 6700 in chrome runs the S40 operating system, but you’ll find that there have been a few updates; now you can add shortcuts and alerts to your home screen, and the interface is easier to use.

Above the keypad is a 2.2-inch screen, which is slightly small, but does display text and pictures in vibrant detail. One of the most impressive features included with the Nokia 6700 Chrome is its 5-megapixel camera. This camera comes with auto focus, as well as LED flash. Picture quality is impressive, especially considering the fact that this is a mid range phone.

Some additional features that come with the Nokia 6700 in chrome include access to the Ovi Store, as well as Google Maps, and GPS. You will also get easy access to social networking applications, such as Facebook. In addition to these features, the 6700 is a 3G phone so you’ll get a fast Internet connection, but unfortunately this handset does not come with WiFi, which would have been a great feature to include.

Surfing the Internet with the Nokia 6700 Chrome can pose a problem due to the lack of screen size, but you do get the Opera Mini web browser, which does improve the experience.

Multimedia features include a built in music player, as well as an FM radio. You don’t get a lot of internal memory, though you can expand the phone’s memory up to 8 GB with a microSD card.

With the inclusion of noise cancellation technology, call quality is great; callers come through loud and clear. Reception is also not a problem with the Nokia 6700 Chrome. The battery life of this handset isn’t too bad, with average use you can expect to charge the battery about every two to three days.

If you prefer a solid mobile phone and are not into touchscreens, the Nokia 6700 Chrome could be the phone for you. With some research you should have no problem finding a cheap Nokia 6700 Chrome.
