Nokia 6760 Slide Review

If you are looking for a great social networking phone that is also a good messaging device, you’ll probably love the Nokia 6760 Slide. This phone comes with a full QWERTY keyboard, as well as a lot of useful apps that you’ll enjoy using.

The keyboard on the Nokia Slide 6760 is well designed; the keys are large and spaced far enough apart that it is easy to type out messages on this keyboard. On the front of this phone is a 2.4-inch QVGA display, and although it is adequate enough, a larger and better screen would have been nice.

When you take a look at the features that come with the 6760 Slide Nokia you’ll see that the main focus is on messaging. A few of the messaging features that you get with this mobile include text messaging, email support, instant messaging, as well as access to social networking applications, such as Facebook and MySpace.

If you want applications that are not included with the Nokia 6760 Slide phone you can always download them from the Nokia Ovi Store; with access to the Ovi Store you can download all types of games and themes.

For taking photos, the Nokia 6760 Slide comes with a built in 3.2-megapixel camera; unfortunately this camera does not come with auto focus or flash, so picture quality will not be the greatest. One advantage that you get is that the 6760 Nokia does provide options for easily sharing your photos.

Although the awkward design of the Nokia Slide 6760 can make this phone a little difficult to use, it actually performs very well; processing speeds are fast and, and it performs with equal speed when using the web browser to surf the Internet.

The messaging features that you get with this phone are definitely a plus for those that prefer messaging over voice calling, which is a good thing as the call quality isn’t as good as it should be. Calls tend to sound muffled on both ends, and there is also some hissing; the speakerphone sound quality is a little better, but not much. The battery life is better than what you might expect, with average use you will likely only have to recharge the battery about every three days.

If you want a good messaging phone that offers a variety of features, the Nokia 6760 Slide is a great choice, but for calls and design it isn’t the best mobile you could get. When you compare Nokia 6760 to other phones within the same price range you might find it lacking. For those that are just interested in messaging, you’ll probably find some great Nokia 6760 Slide deals from various network providers.
