Nokia 7100 Review

The Nokia 7100 is a budget handset that offers some nice features, but is meant to be an entry-level phone. This mobile is perfect for those people that can’t afford to buy a high-end phone, or simply have no interest in all of the extra features of smartphones.

With the 7100 Nokia you’ll get a phone that offers basic mobile communication, as well as a few extras. The media features are not the best but adequate, plus you will get a web browser so that you can access the Internet.

Although the Nokia 7100 slide phone is available at a reasonable price, it still offers a decent built quality. The slide mechanism seems solid enough, and the outer casing is made of highly polished plastic so it looks great. This handset measures 98 x 48.4 x 15mm and weighs about 103g, which is small enough that it is easy to carry with you, and feels great when you hold it in your hand.

The 7100 Nokia comes with a 2-inch TFT display, but it only supports 65k colours, and the resolution is low, which does pose problems when trying to view text and graphics on the screen. You will also notice the lack of size and resolution when you are trying to surf the Internet on the 7100.

Included with the Nokia 7100 is a 1.3-megapixel camera, but you won’t get auto focus or flash included, though you can use it to record video. Obviously since the megapixels are low and there is no flash, the photo quality is not so good.

For multimedia, this phone comes with a MP3 player; the sound quality is average at best. Unfortunately you only get 6MB of storage space, and there is no SD slot to add extra memory. Some additional features that come with the 7100 Nokia include Bluetooth, a web browser, as well as a personal organizer that comes with all of the basic apps, like a calendar, calculator, and a to do list, plus more.

The battery life for the Nokia 7100 is rated for 8 hours of talk time and 456 hours of standby time, which is very good. There is no missing the fact that this is an entry-level budget phone; this is painfully evident by the screen size, and low quality camera, as well as lack of memory. On the bright side, finding a cheap Nokia 7100 price should be no problem at all.

With some searching online it should be easy to find the cheapest Nokia 7100 price, but it may be a good idea to shop for better value for your money.
