Nokia 7230 Review
The Nokia 7230 is a budget friendly slide phone that is affordable for nearly everyone, plus this device comes with a long list of features that you wouldn’t expect to find with a low cost mobile. With the 7230 Nokia you get a 3.2-megapixel camera, access to Facebook and MySpace, along with Ovi Maps, and 3G.
If you want a slide phone that is stylish and compact, you won’t be disappointed with the Nokia 7230; this handset comes in a curvy design that measures 98 x 48 x 15mm and weighs merely 100g. This phone is compact enough to slip into your pocket with no problem, but it is lightweight enough that you’ll find it comfortable to hold in your hand.
On the front of the Nokia 7230 is a 2.2-inch display that supports up to 256 thousand colors. The 7230 Nokia runs off of the Symbian Series 40 OS platform and is very easy to use; this phone comes with 45 MB of internal memory, and you can expand the memory up to 16GB with a microSD card.
Some additional features that you get with the Nokia 7230 include a phonebook that will hold up to 2000 contacts; you will also get text and multimedia messaging, a speakerphone, as well as some personal organizer tools. With the Nokia 7230 you also get the Opera mini web browser for surfing the Internet, as well as support for email and social networking applications, including MySpace and Facebook. Although you won’t get WiFi, you do get 3G connectivity as well as Bluetooth. The 7230 comes Ovi Maps, but the device lacks GPS.
For multimedia features the Nokia 7230 features a music and video player, as well as a built in FM radio. Watching video on this phone is a little tedious due to its small screen, but the music player provides acceptable sound quality. You will get fairly good photo quality with the built in 3.2-megapixel camera, but you won’t be able to take indoor pictures due to the fact that the camera lacks flash. Even though you can also record video with this camera, the quality is quite low.
The battery life on this phone is good, you will get over 5 hours of talk time and about 370 hours of standby time. For the money, this mobile phone is a great value when you consider the fact that you are getting quite a number of features for what you pay, which is evident when you compare Nokia 7230 to other handsets within the same price range. To get an even lower price for this phone, you will want to compare prices and look for the best Nokia 7230 deals.
