Nokia E71 Silver

Nokia E71 Silver Review

The Nokia E71 Silver is another mobile in Nokia’s business oriented E series, though it is not an upgrade to the E70; instead it is designed more like the E61. On the front of this mobile is a 2.36-inch screen, and a QWERTY keyboard that is similar to what you get with the BlackBerry.

With the Nokia Silver E71 you get a solidly built phone with a stainless still frame, and what parts are made from plastic, are high quality and sturdy. The E71 Nokia measures 114 x 57 x 10 mm and weighs 126g; this phone is smaller and more compact than the Nokia E61 so it is more comfortable when holding it your hand, plus it easily slips into your pocket.

The silver E71 Nokia is a quad band phone so you can use it internationally, and unlike most E series phones, the E71 puts as much focus on features that will attract the average consumer, as the business user. With this mobile you’ll get multimedia features, as well as Assisted GPS combined with Nokia Maps.

Some of the features that you’ll get with the silver E71 Nokia include a 3.2-megapixel camera that comes with LED flash, as well as auto focus. Though this camera isn’t quite as good as the 5-megapixel cameras that are now available in the N series phones, it does a great job considering this is basically a business-focused device. In addition to taking still photos, the camera will also record video, though the quality isn’t the best.

Additional features that come with the Nokia E71 Silver include QuickOffice, which allows you to view and edit documents right from your phone. Another useful feature that you’ll get is the mode application; with this you can switch between two different home screens. One home screen will have all of the business applications while, the other features multimedia applications and more.

Of course the silver Nokia E71 offers email support and features Microsoft Exchange and more. You will also get some additional preinstalled applications, including a Music Store, podcasting, and an HTML browser that supports Flash. When surfing the Internet you can go to sites like YouTube and view streaming video.

Additional multimedia features include a music and video player; you will also get some personal management tools, such as a calendar and a phonebook for keeping track of all your contacts.

If you are looking for a mobile phone that has the features you need for business, but enough extras that it makes a great personal mobile as well, the Nokia E71 Silver is a great choice. Although when you compare Nokia E71 Silver to the N series, the multimedia features may not be quite as good, this phone is still a high quality device.
