Samsung F480 Review

The Samsung F480 is a very compact mobile phone; this device is only about the size of a credit card, measuring only 98.4 x 55 x 11.6mm. On the front of this phone is a beautiful, 2.8-inch display. The Samsung F480 Tocco comes with a shiny finish, and although it looks great, it does tend to attract fingerprints.  

One of the best improvements that you’ll get with the Samsung F480 is that the manufacturer has included a new operating system; this handset runs the TouchWiz interface, which provides for a much nicer user experience.

Some of the features that you get with the Samsung F480 include widgets on your home screen so you get easy access to your favorite applications. This is a tri band phone that supports HSDPA for a high-speed connection; you do get Bluetooth, but unfortunately the F480 does not come with WiFi. Another feature that is included with this mobile is a built in FM radio.

For taking pictures while on the go, the Samsung Tocco F480 comes with a 5-megapixel camera that include LED flash, as well as auto focus. Some additional photo modes included with the camera are face detection, panorama, and smile detect. The photo quality is about the same as you get with most phone cameras, and will likely be good enough to quickly capture those unexpected shots.

The call quality that you get with the Samsung F480 isn’t the best, but not too bad either. If you are in a noisy environment, or there is a lot of background noise, you might have some problems hearing the person you are talking with. The battery is rated for 6 hours of talk time and 11 days of standby time.

Although you don’t get a lot of features, this is a nice looking phone that offers the basics, and then a few extras, plus the Samsung F480 price is reasonable. The operating system is definitely a step up from what you get with older Samsung mobiles, though there are still some problems that need to be worked out. This handset is a good option if you want a phone that is somewhere between the basic mobile, and a smartphone, especially if you want a budget friendly price.
