Samsung Ultra Touch Review

The Samsung Ultra Touch is a stylish and thin slide phone that features the TouchWiz interface, and much more. One of the most attractive things about this handset is just how thin it is, despite the fact that it features a slide out numeric keypad. On the front of this phone is a 2.8-inch AMOLED touchscreen so you get both a physical keypad, and a touchscreen.

Another attractive feature of the Samsung Touch Ultra is that it runs an updated TouchWiz interface; with this interface you can drag and drop widgets right onto your home screen. You will also get photo contacts so it’s easy to find the person you want to contact.

Some additional features that come with the Samsung Ultra Touch include built in GPS, that not only pinpoints your locations with Google Maps, but it also features photo geo tagging. Another tool that some people might find useful is Fake Call; with this feature you can simulate an incoming call so that you can excuse yourself from a conversation without appearing rude.

Even though the Samsung Ultra does not come with WiFi, it does offer support for HSDPA for a fast connection. Another nice feature that you get with this handset is an 8-megapixel camera that includes LED flash and auto focus. You will get some fairly good pictures with this camera, but the quality isn’t quite what you would expect from an 8-megapixel camera.

Of course you also get a music player, but the sound quality seems to lack enough bass. The call quality that you get with the Samsung Ultra Touch is good; voices sound natural and come through loud and clear. The battery life rating for this phone is 3 hours of talk time and about 8 days of standby time.

With the Samsung Ultra you’ll get a beautifully designed phone and a great touchscreen, as well as an updated TouchWiz interface, but it does have a couple problems. The battery life isn’t what you might expect, and there is some lag when trying to run applications.

The Samsung Ultra Touch is still a good mobile phone, especially if you want a handset that offers both a physical keypad, as well as a touchscreen. You will want to keep in mind that the Samsung Touch Ultra isn’t exactly cheap, but if you buy on contract you might be able to get a good deal for this phone.

To find a good deal for the Ultra you’ll want to compare Samsung Ultra Touch prices online, where you’ll find the best deals for this phone.
