Sony Ericsson W705

Sony Ericsson W705 Review
The Sony Ericsson W705 is a nice looking mobile phone that puts a lot of emphasis on music, as would be expected from a Walkman series mobile. This is a compact slide phone that measures 95 x 47.5 x 14.3 mm and features a 2.4-inch display and a brushed metal finish.
Some of the design problems that you’ll find with the W705 Sony Ericsson include a slightly loose sliding mechanism, plus the keys are small and flush, so using the keypad isn’t easy.
You will get an excellent music player with the Sony Ericsson W705; this device is a little more like a music player that comes with a phone, instead of the other way around. Sony bundles the W705 with a 4GB memory card so you will be able to take thousands of your favorite songs with you wherever you go. You also get video playback with this phone, though the image quality is only mediocre.
Though most of the focus of the W705 is on the music player, you will get a 3.2-megapixel camera included with this phone. The camera doesn’t come with auto focus, but does offer a few photo settings, plus you can record video. Photo quality is about what you would expect from a camera phone; even though it won’t replace your digital camera, it is good enough to get those unexpected pictures.
Connecting to the Internet is a great experience, with fast data speeds via HSDPA. Social butterflies will love the easy access that you get to a number of social networking sites, including Facebook. You will also get an additional connection option with WiFi, plus this phone comes with a YouTube application so you can easily watch streaming video right from your phone.
As far as performance, the Sony Ericsson W705 comes with great audio quality with the music player, but call quality doesn’t do as good. Calls seem to be difficult to hear and a little muffled. The battery life of this phone isn’t too bad; with average use you will probably have to recharge about every three days.
With the exception of some problems with call quality, the Sony Ericsson W705 is really a great little midrange phone. You won’t get a lot of the more advanced features available on smartphones, but what you do get is pretty impressive, especially if you can find a cheap W705 Sony Ericsson.
